Although both Barrie and I have been providing varying forms of Pet Care Services, ranging from Dog Grooming, Walking, Boarding and Cat/Pet visits since 2012 we have now taken the decision to expand our business further and offer our clients a further pet care option for their feline family. Having had cats as our family pets for over 1
Although both Barrie and I have been providing varying forms of Pet Care Services, ranging from Dog Grooming, Walking, Boarding and Cat/Pet visits since 2012 we have now taken the decision to expand our business further and offer our clients a further pet care option for their feline family. Having had cats as our family pets for over 18 years we have always had a love of cats but have never been in a position to be able to adapt the business to open and run a cattery previously. Since moving, we now feel we have the space and have therefore invested a lot of time and energy into converting an existing outbuilding at our family home at the rear of our garden into what we believe is a luxurious space for your cats to stay.
Insurance:
Furry Friends Pet Care Services has public liability insurance cover in place but would always advise owners to take out individual insurance for their pets.

Our six spacious suites have been designed to accommodate multiple cats from the same household as they are larger than most traditional catteries. All suites are made up of UPVC double glazed units and all surfaces are covered in hygiene cladding to enable all surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned and regularly disinfected to prevent the
Our six spacious suites have been designed to accommodate multiple cats from the same household as they are larger than most traditional catteries. All suites are made up of UPVC double glazed units and all surfaces are covered in hygiene cladding to enable all surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned and regularly disinfected to prevent the spread of infection and bacteria. All suites have natural daylight and a variety of sleeping options, a climbing tower, feeding station, litter area and most importantly plenty of free space for your cat/cats to roam and relax in. Each suite is fully heated and ventilated for your cat’s comfort.
We have 3 spacious interior suites to the rear of the cattery, and a further 3 spacious suites to the front, with access via a cat flap to their own fully secure external exercise areas overlooking the garden for the more active and inquisitive guests that like to watch the birds and wildlife and generally see what is going on in the garden, or merely to bask in the sun.
Each suite has a selection of sleeping options available, but we welcome you to bring your own bed/scratch post should you feel your cat would benefit from having these familiar things with them.

Vaccinations
All our guests must be fully up to date with their vaccinations prior to their stay with us and a copy of their up-to-date Vaccination Certificate will need to be provided prior to their stay for us to take a copy for our records. Failure to provide this could result in us not being able to allow your cat to board with us.

We request that all cats are treated for fleas and worms prior to their stay with us and we would highly recommend using a treatment supplied from your Vet as we believe these to be more effective than over the counter alternatives available.
Should any parasite or fleas be found on my pet whilst in the care of Furry Friends Pet Care, then the Client consents for Furry Friends Pet Care to contact the pet’s usual Vet and acquire any necessary treatment and the client further consents for any additional costs for such treatment to be added to their final bill upon collection of their pet.
Neutering:
Like most other catteries we ask that all male cats aged 6 months and over are neutered. We further request that all females are also neutered too.

We are more than happy for any prospective clients to come and view the cattery prior to making a booking as we feel that the photos do not do it justice, but we would just ask if you could please call to arrange a mutually convenient time for this to take place.

Prior to your visit we will ask that you fill out an Information Form completing various important information about yourselves and your cat to ensure we have as much information to hand during your cats stay with us.

We offer a selection of foods for you to choose from, all we ask is for you to state which brand/brands that your cat is familiar with and would prefer to receive during their stay. This will be on the Information Form for you to select your choice. If your cat is on a prescription diet or merely prefers an alternative brand to the ones
